The show Dragon Ball Z is primarily known to be a filler but there are also quite a lot of epic fights and scenes which took place in the series. A lot of serious Goku moments also took place here which are certainly going to be written down in history.
Piccolo Saves Gohan
Piccolo’s road to redemption had really been a quiet one up until this moment. Midway through the Saiyan saga, when the Z fighters fight off Nappa, Piccolo uses himself to shield Gohan from an oncoming blast, and this is exactly when we get introduced to a kinder side of him.
Goku Overpowers Frieza
To this date, the battle that took place between Goku and Freiza remains to be one of the most epic ones – that struck fans for the longest time. In this fight against Goku, Frieza mistakenly ends up using his own Death Saucers (fight move) against himself.
Goku had advised Frieza out of his goodwill during the fight but the latter still refused to listen to Goku and ended up getting defeated by his move – giving us fans a true glimpse into his stubborn personality.
Vegeta’s Human Side
Almost toward the end of the Saiyan Saga, Goku decides to spare Vegeta but even then it brings no change in the personality of the latter. When it is shown that Vegeta ultimately fails in challenging Freiza, fans get introduced to a more human side of him. At the brink of death, he finally opens up to Goku about how his life had been in shambles under Frieza’s rule.
Vegeta also wished that Frieza died at the hands of a True Saiyan.
Dragon Ball
The Dragon Ball series features a whole lot of iconic moments. There were also a lot of fight scenes and transformations that took place in this arc which put a lot of characters in a new perspective and light.
Goku Unlocks Ultra Instinct
When the tournament of power began in this era, the DB series started showcasing even more greatness and abilities which they had earlier kept well-hidden until now.
Goku tapping into his new Ultra Instinct power is yet another peak serious moment of the whole show. The transformation of Goku during this was incredible.
Gohan & Goku Fight Back
Gohan, even though a tough opponent could be naive at times. One such instance was when he was fighting against Cell. In this fight he put his all into putting a blast against the opponent – Cell. During this blast that Gohan sends off against Cell, Goku’s apparition appears behind Gohan – and shows his support for his son even after his death.
This moment was so iconic that there are a lot of Goku wallpaper available out there of this exact moment – and seems to resonate a lot with the fans.
Goku Overpowers Ginyu Force
The moment when the Z fighters get owned by Vegeta and Nappa – a lot of the protagonists of the series have to face it hard and tough. This happens during the Frieza Saga. In this particular fight, the Ginyu Force is easily able to overpower all of Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan. This is why when ultimately Goku arrives to save his allies – it becomes a pivotal scene.
Dragon Ball Super
The Dragon Ball Super show also shared a whole lot of amazing moments with the fans as well which are going to remain iconic for a long time.
Jiren Vs Goku’s Epic Fight
In this fight, yet again Goku makes use of his Ultra Instinct power to match for every blow that Jiren throws at him. This scene remains epic due to the incredibly well-done animation.
Towards the beginning of the fight, Goku gets a bit powered down but then later on is finally able to defeat Jiren with the help of his allies Frieza and 17.
Zamasu Vs. Vegito
According to the plots of Dragon Ball the Super, Goku and Vegeta had never seen eye-to-eye before but up until this point. Both of them decided to put aside their differences for this fight for once and together became Vegito with the aid of Potara Earrings. After this, Vegito became even more powerful and turned SS Blue.
Fans, even though they loved him, couldn’t get to see him anymore in the show other than this moment.
Goku Black
Black Goku gets introduced here, for the first time, in episode 47 of the Dragon Ball Super Show. He gets introduced as the main antagonist in the Future Trunks arc. Goku Black initially starts off curating a plan where he hopes to eradicate all gods and mortals from the Multiverse.
Goku Black garnered a lot of fans himself as his whole aesthetic was iconic.
Goku
How old is Goku in this show? Well, in Dragon Ball GT, the character of Goku is 42 years old. While this show had its fair share of dull moments, there were also a lot of peak and serious Goku moments that took place here as well!
General Rild Vs. Goku
This fight between General Rild and Goku takes place in the Baby Arc of Dragon Ball GT. This showdown between the two of them continues for a total of two episodes. Over here, you are also going to be able to witness Goku giving off an infinite number of blows to General Rild.
Logic Vs. Goku
The fight choreo sequence for this was very cool. There are a lot of videos of this amazing moment up on the platform of Youtube as well. Moreover, the flash and detailed animation of this sequence is what makes up for its short-lived hype when the show was initially launched at first.
Baby Vegeta Vs. SS 3 Goku
This arc upset fans a lot, but the decision of turning the characters into babies was made to keep the franchise fresh. It is also absolutely amazing to see Goku’s small stature fighting off big villains in the show.
